Hmm...

This seems broken. I dl'ed the file because it wouldn't stream. I figured my connection was slow and something was timing out but when I went to open the file into Opera, nothing happened! I don't know if it's merely on my end or if others are having the same problems.

Try to resubmit it in a functioning state. I look forward to teh shaep shutering.

Not bad.

It's a sick game and requires some practice, but in order to get that practice, we are forced to sit through you're shameless self-promotion. Yes, you are a great flash artist, but don't force us to sit through all of your icons and signatures every time we want to replay it. I honestly spent more time looking at your name than I did actually playing this.

Once is enough. You can stretch it out if you wish, but don't subject us to it so ubiquitously. It seriously detracts from the experience and what I would have rated a 9/10 game.

Excellent

Once you get down to a torso and a single arm, the game becomes rather Python-esque. "'Tis just a flesh wound!"

Sick Demo!

A few issues though, tanks have a turning circle of ZERO in that they don't need to moving to turn, it makes it very difficult to avoid civilians when your TANK handles like a CAR. Secondly, you should have an option for reversing because there are times when civilian casualties are inevitable as a result. I hope you'll have a wider assortment of enemies and civilians for the final version (i.e. other tanks, jeeps, and parked civilian cars.

What's the cash for anyways? Upgrades? That'd pwn!

Fine taste.

Game was kind of iffy, you should have made it more of a paint type program. Everything was kind of out of alignment and the options were limited, but Rush fucking rules so I'm giving you a seven.

Room for improvement, but it has potential.

Keep grinding.

COLD COLD COLD COLD!

Congratulations.

You have won the 'Quadruple Cold Award' for Coldness in a Flash Animation, bestowed only upon those that push the boundries of the medium. Only true innovation is worthy of the highest award the commitee has to offer.

Excellent, even for a test and superior to much of what ends up on the portal. I played around with this for ten minutes, astounding.

5/5 - 10/10

Excellent.

=D Thanks!!!!!

Wow.

That game made my eyes dry and itchy. So much staring.
Great game. Could use more sprites, but I'm impressed how something simple could be so entertaining.

Memories!

I like me some old-timey can kickery, it reminds me of my days in the Great Depression, but back then we didn't have aluminum or anodized steel, we'd have to kick cans made out of rusted shrapnel from the Great War and damned if we didn't get lock-jaw. That was the price we paid to take our minds off our troubles with a rousing game of can-kicky.

Could use a taller playfield, and kicking the tank logo(tm) is bloody heresy. You need to atone and expiate yourself to the NG Gods. Otherwise, thanks for the memories.

Keep grinding.

Surprising

Damn damn damn damn! This could be a sick, killer game but there are so many problems you have to iron out.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, have that dude wield an axe better, he looks so casual and jaunty just strolling through the blasted hellscape of his mind. Make him bad ass and increase the range on the swing animation, I have no idea the arc starts and ends. The enemies have flavour and style but the protagonist is melba toast bland.

SECOND, add more flavour, backgrounds, foreground textures, varied platforms. This is his subconscious, so the levels should not look so 'Game & Watch'.

THIRD, hit detection. The boss nailed me with three direct eyebeam hits and only one of them registered where as I snuck up on one of those hell seals and died instantly from six feet away. (Why am I transported to the beginning of the level?)

With polish, this could be good. The narrative is suspensful and intriguing, but I hadn't the desire to play very far because of the MAJOR flaws evident.

Put some elbow grease into this sucker and you've got yourself a winner. I really want to see this refined because the fundamentals are there, it just needs tuning.

Great start, follow through.

Thank you, I'll try my best.

Sick, with issues.

First off, great job, I like the Mario-esque vibe of it, and the 8-bit music and sfx are awesome but you have to address a few issues before it goes gold.

For one, for a first level, the jumps are way too hard. You want to ease the player into the control scheme and balance challenge with advancement. I have no idea how long a game you want to do here, but if I'm having trouble making past the first stage, I may be inclined to skip the others.

Second, your hit detection with the breakable blocks is way off. They are smashing when I merely wish to use them as a platform. I also experienced this falling THROUGH them.

Lastly, zoom it in a bit. You have pretty good detail on the sprites and could afford a to increase the magnification, it would give it more of an authentic 8-bit vibe.

If this is a beta, and you can iron out some of the little glitches, you could have yourself some featured material here.

Great job!

everyone-dies-alone responds:

Thanks! Yeah I know there are still a lot of issues. The hit area on the breakable blocks was off by a few pixels, I will be fixing that. I appreciate your input!
